Whimsy Furniture has a recycled theme. Each piece begins with an old or used
wood item and is magically transformed into one-of-a-kind,
functional artwork by artist Genevieve Brown of Boulder, Colorado.
She begins her process by burning an original design into the wood-which
provides a textural element to the piece. She then hand-paints the design using only
water-based, environmentally safe products. Each piece is finished with multiple
layers of top-quality, water-based polyurethane. This provides maximum durability and
allows the piece to be cleaned with any household cleaner. Genevieve's
pieces provide color, inspiration, and a touch of "whimsy" to many homes in
the Colorado area.
